All things gaming ….

We love games, we really do. In fact it was one of the main reasons we opened an internet café back in 1996! Remember Quake, Doom and Wolfenstein? We loved and played ‘em all, and we still get as excited now about new games as we did when we were kids, even though we’re now very old. Well, in our thirties.

Things have moved on somewhat since then of course, with new hardware and smart guys with big foreheads writing clever code that gives physics engines to die for and immersion sound systems to add real depth. All very lovely, and nothing beats that feeling of getting a headshot from an impossible distance when your mate is least expecting it.

What yer got?
We’re PC gamers at heart, so you won’t find consoles in any Quarks branch, just high spec machines on a fast link that allow you to play with your mates with the least hassle. We’re set up for casual gaming, with a couple of hundred games good to go at a click of a button, but we can also organise team events, late nights and informal LANs with a bit of notice. Birthday party LANs are now a common and popular pastime, and we can organise these as well, check out this area for more information.

How does it work?
Roll up (either by yourself or with your mates), sign in, play. That’s basically it. You pay for the time you use and don’t forget the discount schemes if you’re planning to stay a while or come back often. All Day Passes are particular popular for gaming, but don’t forget these need to be bought in advance. We’ll wait on you too, so if you need drinks, beers, grub, you name it, just shout and we’ll bring it to you. The menus are here.

Special Offers
These come along from time to time, and sometimes we stay open late for, well, the hell of it really. We usually post the details of special offers on our Facebook page, and if you’re a gamer, it’s a good idea to become a fan to take advantage. Even more so when you consider that sometimes offers are ONLY made to Facebook fans!

What’s the kit?

What’s the Game List?
It changes all the time of course, but as at April 2010, you can find our current selection under the categories shown below. We tried to do a complete list in one go, but it was simply too long to make it sensible. Many games have a link associated with them which will take you to the relevant page at Metacritic so you can see a summary of all the views ever made about that particular game and what it's all about. We like to keep the oldies in play as well - there’s nothing like re-discovering a classic like Red Alert 2 after you haven’t played it for years …. Enjoy!

NOTE: There's nothing to stop you bringing in your own games and installing them, although you must remember it will only be a temporary install until the PC is reset. For something more permanent, just ask us or suggest in our discussion boards.
