Biog: Thirty something local lad now the business half of the partnership having done the corporate thing at companies such as Cable & Wireless and Microsoft previously. Have a young family and in between changing nappies and running businesses I use my spare time to a) fix things the kids have broken b) fix things my other half has broken c) do all the day to day things that having a hectic lifestyle requires and d) relax. In that order. Sometimes I get to c). Secretly I am still into music, cinema of all genres, ages and styles, and computer games that involve strategy and thought. Either that or a large gun of some sort.
Things I like about Quarks:The fact that every day really is actually different from the last. It still fascinates me today. There’s also a hell of a lot going on this year and I’m very excited about what we can do with technology and our services in 2010.
Favourite customer moment: After so many years, it’s impossible to choose. However, there are many and they usually revolve around someone getting their personal breakthrough or doing something in the café that we have helped them with. It’s a wonderfully satisfying element of what we do and I never tire of it.
